“It’s great to be in Mackay today visiting mums and dads at the PCYC.
Early parenthood can be a really tough time for any parent and I was pleased to announce today a new $200,000 support clinic for parents of young babies.
As a parent, I know the early weeks and months can be the toughest and this drop in centre - where no appointment is needed - will help make sure new mums and dads get the support they need.
This will be the ninth new parent drop-in centre across the state. We have eight other across Queensland - In Ipswich, Deception Bay, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, the Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Cairns and Logan.”
