One of the things Queensland is best known for is its beautiful beaches – 30 million visits each year and growing.
While there is nothing better than cooling off in the surf, staying safe is a real issue. And today, at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, Anna announced a record beach safety boost – the biggest in the 100-year history of Surf Life Saving Queensland.
Today’s commitment means a better rescue helicopter, new rescue equipment and extra patrols if Labor is re-elected. “My Government is committed to improving the safety for Queenslanders and visitors to our beaches and public swimming locations,” Anna says.
