In Cairns today, Anna outlined plans for 18 new and two upgraded kindergartens across Queensland over the next two years.
The new centres are part of Anna’s plan for 240 new and expanded kindergarten services by 2014 – an investment of more than $300 million.
Today, Anna outlined where the first kindergartens would go and the regions where the rest would be based. It’s the single largest investment in kindergarten by any Queensland Government.
“I want Queensland to offer its children a flying start in life and that’s what these kindergartens will achieve,” Anna said.
“Labor supports new services like kindergartens.”
