Anna today outlined a plan to invest $72 million to improve literacy and numeracy for Queensland kids.
The policy includes intensive tuition, summer schools and targeted support for teachers and students. It means jobs for up to 253 teachers.
“Many of our children are achieving great results and for them the system is working,” Anna said.
“It is children who are falling behind who now need extra support.
“I want every child to have every chance of reaching their potential in our school system and that’s why this policy will target the areas where support is most needed.”
