Anna and apprentices at the Mackay Convention Centre this morning

In Mackay this morning, Anna announced a plan to invest more than $124 million to deliver nearly 150,000 training places over the next four years.

It’s a record expansion of Queensland’s skills base, and comes on top of Labor’s Queensland Skills Plan which will deliver an extra 17,000 training places a year by 2010.

“It means that when these tough economic times pass, Queensland will emerge with a skilled workforce ready to build a prosperous future,” Anna said.
